Job brief

We are seeking a service-focused, dedicated, and personable Ground Operations Crew Member to join our growing team! The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in and passion for aviation and client services, along with a passion for ensuring the customer experience is of the highest standard! The focus of the role will be to provide general support to the airlines, such as loading bags and assisting with the servicing of aircraft on landing.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload bags onto and off the aircraft upon landing, or prior to departure.
• Ensure the bags being loaded onto the flight are the correct bags for that flight.
• Use airport vehicles to move baggage when required.
• Assist with the cleaning and re-servicing of aircraft when they land, including removal of rubbish, emptying of toilets, and restocking of required items such as juice, water, or food.
• Ensure the aircraft is clean and presentable inside for the new passengers boarding.
• Assist with the loading of pushchairs and wheelchairs, and other special equipment.
• Assist with the loading and care taking of live animals into the cargo hold and secure them.
• Ensure that passengers with disabilities are always treated fairly and helped to the aircraft with whatever special measures are required.
• Assist with the coordination of ramps and lifts when needed.

Requirements

• High School Education or above
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a service-focused role, preferably within the transport sector
• Driver’s Permit would be an advantage
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Able to work as a team player with no issues
• Health and Safety Certification would be an advantage
• Familiar with airport equipment and terminology
• Keen eye for small and important details
