Job brief

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Glazier to join our team. As a Glazier, you will be responsible for installing glass on buildings and structures, as well as repairing and replacing broken glass. You will be an important member of our team, responsible for ensuring that our projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Measure and cut glass to fit specific sizes and shapes based on project requirements.
• Install glass on buildings and structures, ensuring that it is properly sealed and secured.
• Repair and replace broken glass in windows, doors, and other structures.
• Work with a variety of glass types and materials, such as tempered, laminated, and insulated glass.
• Collaborate with other team members, such as contractors and architects, to ensure that projects are completed on schedule and to the required specifications.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures when working with glass, including wearing protective equipment and ensuring a safe work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an apprenticeship or vocational training program in glass installation and repair preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Glazier in a commercial or residential setting
• Knowledge of various types of glass and installation techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measuring and cutting glass
• Physical ability to lift and move the heavy glass
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
