Job brief
We are in search of a reliable and knowledgeable GDPR Data Protection Officer who can ensure the company’s compliance with GDPR laws and standards. The role’s main responsibilities involve being a liaison between the company and appropriate regulatory bodies as well as supervising internal procedures on data management.
Responsibilities
- Be a liaison between the company and regulatory bodies.
- Analyze the company’s data compliance procedures.
- Prepare and deliver advice on how to conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments.
- Supervise managerial procedures of compliance and data in the company.
- Ensure privacy by design at all levels through meetings with management.
- Manage records of data processing operations.
- Assure we respond to all inquiries from data subjects such as deleting their data from the databases within legal timelines.
- Communicate with external parties that manage data on our behalf.
- Update internal company policies on data protection rules.
- Conduct audits and identifies whether we need to change our processes to meet regulations.
- Provide guidance on how to manage privacy breaches.
- Schedule training on GDPR compliance.
- Follow up with changes in the legislation and provide recommendations to assure compliance.
Requirements
- Law degree
- Certified attorney
- 5+ years of legal experience
- Deep knowledge of GDPR policies
- Experience with compliance and/or data laws
- Familiarity with managing data
- Confidential personality and detail-oriented
- Strong ethical standards
