Flight Management System Engineer job description

Job brief

We are seeking a detail orientated, highly skilled, and professional Flight Management Systems Engineer to join our team! The ideal candidate will have comprehensive and extensive knowledge of flight management systems with excellent attention to detail. The focus of the role will be to improve, maintain and develop flight management systems for the business.

Responsibilities

• Capture the requirements of the civil flight management system.
• Ascertain the flight systems requirements for new architecture as needed.
• Design and develop the FMS system automation and the functions required to support that.
• Design, develop and maintain flight guidance functions.
• Manage supplies and subcontractors as required,
• Identify and manage verification and validity functions.
• Support the continuance of standardization and certification of activities with international agencies.
• Contribute to departmental research and analysis.
• Work as part of a team to achieve a common goal.
• Independently research and apply new methods in line with compliance guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in aeronautical engineering or similar field
• Previous experience in systems engineering
• Demonstrated experience in Flight Management Systems or similar
• Highly motivated
• excellent problem-solving abilities
• Excellent team working skills
• Great communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance
