Job brief

We are seeking a service-focused, friendly and professional Flight Attendant to join our team! The ideal candidate will be service-orientated and have a strong background in tending to customers’ needs, as well as a strong background in health and safety. The focus of the role primarily is to ensure passenger safety whilst on board the aircraft. Over and above that you will tend to customers’ needs with regards to food and drink and other requests customers may have.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all passengers are on board the aircraft before take-off.
• Ensure all passengers are briefed on the aircraft safety feature before take-off.
• Ensure that passengers are kept updated throughout the flight with regards to fastening seat belts and destination arrival times.
• Serve drinks to passengers during the drinks service, and individually when required.
• Check that passengers' seat belts are fastened before take-off and landing.
• Ensure that overhead lockers are packed correctly and safely and that they close properly.
• Ensure that food is served promptly to passengers on the flight
• Tend to customers' needs when required to provide additional water, blankets, and more
• Ensure that the window covers are down for take-off and landing.
• Ensure that the cabin is checked regularly to identify any concerns.
• Provide reassurance to customers regarding fears of flying, and assist with clarifying safety instructions when required.
• Assist with exiting the plane in an orderly manner and liaise with the ground team where required.

Requirements

• Cabin crew certification or training
• Demonstrated experience in the aviation industry either as a flight attendant or other service-focused occupation
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Tall enough to reach and close the overhead lockers
• Great customer service skills with excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Maintaining a well-groomed and presentable appearance
• Confident with being away from home for sometimes long periods of time
