Job brief
We are looking for a new and responsible Financial Manager to provide financial reports and interpret financial data to management. The role’s responsibilities also include providing strategies and advising on investment activities to support the financial health of the company.
Responsibilities
- Supply financial reports and interpret financial information to management while suggesting future courses of action.
- Support the financial health of the company.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs.
- Compare the business plan to actual performance, costs, pricing, and sales results.
- Create projections for the company’s financial performance.
- Oversee all day-to-day operations of the finance department.
- Set goals, and design a strategy to meet them.
- Liaise with other departments to discuss company plans and agree on future actions to be taken.
- Oversee the preparation of the company budget.
- Guide investment activities and create strategies that the firm should act on.
- Correspond with auditors to ensure company finances are well monitored.
- Pay attention to the company's day-to-day financial operations, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions.
- As needed, hire professional help with tax preparation, audits, banking, investments, and other financial issues.
- Keep track of the company's financial situation and performance in order to spot areas where it could be improved.
- Look for ways to reduce the company's financial risk.
Requirements
- Bachelor/Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting
- Certified Financial Advisor (CFA) certification
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- 4+ years of experience as a Finance Manager
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statistics
- Experience with accounting/finance software
- Strong problem-solving skills, well organized, and able to work under pressure
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
