Financial Accountant Job Description

Job Brief 

We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our team and assist in managing our financial transactions, financial reporting, and budget preparation. 

You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and providing financial insight and analysis to support decision-making. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, experience with financial reporting, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities:

• Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare financial statements and reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct monthly and yearly financial close activities and reconciliations.
• Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis.
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper financial controls and risk management practices.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
• Assist with audits and other financial assessments as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• CPA or other relevant certifications preferred
• At least 3-5 years of experience in financial accounting or a related field
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Experience with financial reporting and budget preparation
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems is preferred
