Job brief
We are searching for a skilled Expeditor to help with the flow of work and supplies in our company. The expeditor will plan and supervise tasks associated with receiving and delivering packages, such as validating order accuracy and generating reports on project status, completion deadlines, production issues, inventory levels, and prices. You'll keep an eye on components of operations like purchasing, budget control, and order changes and report any problems to management.
Responsibilities
- Establishing and strengthening business ties with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Collecting material shipments and inspecting supplies to guarantee exact numbers, quality, and requirements.
- Looking for discrepancies in job cost information, such as mischarges.
- Carrying out administrative tasks and keeping detailed records and files of activity.
- Perform a vendor survey and evaluation. KPI monitoring can be used to assess vendor performance.
- Collaborate with all parties involved, both internal and external.
- Handles any additional ad hoc tasks that the supervisor assigns.
- Keep track of project delivery schedules, verify that work meets business standards and needs, and make that regulations are being followed.
Requirements
- Working in a comparable capacity for at least two years
- Exceptional spoken and written communication skills
- Compliance with company regulations and procedures
- Comprehensive understanding of process improvement principles such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing
- Knowledge of spreadsheet software, inventory management systems, and accounting apps
- GED, high school diploma, or appropriate equivalent
