Job brief

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and professional Exercise Physiologist to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing health and wellness advice to patients and be adept at planning and executing tried and tested exercise regimes for their clients. The focus of the role is to assess, monitor, and treat Physical issues that can be improved or helped by exercise.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with patients to ascertain their physical issues, struggles, and goals.
  • Assess, examine and note patients’ overall fitness levels, injury levels, or other issues that may require consideration when creating a plan for them.
  • Create and develop effective exercise plans in line with the patients' abilities and take into account any physical injury they may have.
  • Set goals for patients to achieve throughout their care plan and monitor their progress.
  • Ensure their notes and files are kept up to date.
  • Make referrals to other healthcare service providers when needed.
  • Be the first point of contact for patients with questions and queries.
  • Monitor patients' progress and make adjustments to any plans to suit the progress.
  • Work in line with patient confidentiality guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in exercise biology or science or related field
  • Relevant license to practice as an Exercise Physiologist as required by the country/state you live in
  • At least four years’ experience in an internship or externship focusing on exercise science or a related field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of how different exercises affect the body and how to exercise with injury
  • Highly organized with good work prioritization skills
  • Strong knowledge of patient confidentiality guidelines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
