Job brief
We are looking for an analytical Environmental Coordinator to join our team. As our Environmental Coordinator, you would be responsible for ensuring that our business is meeting all protocols and regulations regarding the effect we have on the environment around us.
Responsibilities
- Conduct any research, inspections, and studies needed to create an effective environmental plan that meets or exceeds local and federal regulations.
- Foresee possible environmental risks and aid with the mitigation of them.
- Determine the areas of our business that need the most improvement in regards to the effect had on the environment.
- Aid in creating systems and regulations needed to ensure compliance with local and federal law, as well as enable us to meet our own environmental goals as a company.
- Train our employees and other team members in the best practices that must be employed to negate our effect on the environment around us.
- Ensure that we have received all required certifications and permits.
- Ensure that our policies are kept up to date and followed to a T.
- Aid with the development of needed contamination control programs.
Requirements
- Must possess a degree in a related field. Past experience is a strong plus
- Must be able to conduct thorough research and studies
- Maintain a working knowledge of all applicable rules and regulations, both new and existing
- Must possess a highly analytical mind and show good judgment and planning skills
- Must be a strong leader and team player
- Must be able to handle a sometimes fast-paced work environment
- Must display strong communication skills and keep excellent records
