Job brief
We are looking for an experienced Energy Engineer to join our team. As an Energy Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing energy-efficient systems and processes that reduce costs and minimize environmental impact.
You should have a deep understanding of energy systems and be able to develop creative solutions that improve energy efficiency while also meeting the organization's needs.
Responsibilities
- Analyze energy usage and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop energy-efficient designs and systems for buildings, equipment, and processes.
- Conduct energy audits to identify areas of inefficiency and make recommendations for improvement.
- Manage energy conservation projects, including developing project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure energy projects meet their needs and requirements.
- Research and evaluate emerging energy technologies and provide recommendations for their adoption.
- Monitor and report on energy usage and cost savings.
- Provide training and education on energy conservation to employees and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field
- At least 3-5 years of experience in energy engineering or a related field
- Strong understanding of energy systems and energy efficiency principles
- Experience conducting energy audits and implementing energy conservation projects.
- Developing project schedules, budgets, and plans
- Good communication abilities, with the capacity to explain difficult technical information to stakeholders that are not technically minded
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards
- Proficiency in energy modeling software and other relevant tools
