Job brief
An experienced electrical power engineer is needed to expand our team. You will be in charge of creating, testing, and putting into place electrical power systems that satisfy the requirements of our clients.
In order to ensure that projects are finished on time, within budget, and in accordance with the necessary requirements, you will collaborate with clients, other engineers, and project managers.
Responsibilities
- For a variety of applications, create, develop, and test electrical power systems.
- Using CAD software, create schematics, diagrams, and layouts for electrical systems.
- Use software instruments like ETAP, PSS/E, or SKM to carry out power system analysis and modeling.
- For planned initiatives, carry out cost-benefit evaluations and feasibility studies.
- Working with project managers, other engineers, and clients will help to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Examine and accept the specifications, drawings, and calculations contained in the electrical design papers.
- To customers and other stakeholders, prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations.
- Make sure that the codes, standards, and regulations are followed when designing and installing electrical power systems.
- Support and advice other team members with regard to technical matters.
- Keep abreast with new developments in technology and business trends that affect electrical power systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Expertise designing, analyzing, and implementing electrical power systems for at least five years
- CAD software proficiency for electrical design
- Knowledge of power system analysis applications like ETAP, PSS/E, or SKM
- Knowledge of the NEC, IEEE, and IEC codes, standards, and laws that govern electrical power systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- A capacity for both independence and teamwork
- An advantage would be having knowledge of renewable energy sources like solar or wind
- License as a Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred
