Job brief

We are in search of an experienced Director of Engineering to lead our engineering teams. Your role will require you to manage the budget, employ appropriate manpower, and craft suitable strategies for the company.

Responsibilities

• Supervise performance and reliability of all internal systems and improve performance.
• Consults with the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Manufacturing to create long-range operating and manufacturing goals specific to the needs of the organization.
• Monitor front and back-end software teams and their ongoing projects.
• Ensure compliance with security laws and rules.
• Oversee the engineering department’s financing and budgeting.
• Govern software development projects by setting objectives, requirements, and timeframes.
• Plan for future projects predicated on the company’s resources and objectives.
• Implement innovative technologies into the company’s system.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders regarding new tools and integrations.
• Hire and train engineers.
• Oversee policies pertinent to equipment and internal systems.
• Implementing best practice engineering methods.
• Providing technical guidance to engineering teams and top management.
• Supporting established organizational objectives by developing goals and strategies.
• Finding and implementing ways to improve cost-efficiency.

Requirements

• Master's degree in a related field
• 5+ years of engineering management experience
• Understanding of cloud technologies and hands-on experience with back-end and front-end development
• Excellent managerial and supervisory skills
• The ability to react and adjust to changing business environment
• Up-to-date knowledge of the industry
• Leadership and strategic mindset
• Project management skills
