The focus of this role is to provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in their daily lives.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with disabilities in daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide transportation to and from appointments, errands, and activities.
• Administer medication and other treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of services provided and any changes in individuals' health or behavior.
• Assist individuals with developing and achieving their goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the best possible care for individuals.
• Maintain a safe and healthy living environment for individuals, including monitoring for and reporting any safety hazards or concerns.

Requirements

• Applicants must have a high school diploma or its equivalent. An associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• Minimum of one year of previous experience providing care for individuals with disabilities
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals
• Compassionate and patient, with a desire to help others
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• The ideal candidate should be able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• The candidate should have the ability to effectively manage their time and prioritize tasks
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
