Job brief
Our team is currently looking for a County Clerk who is highly organized and detail-oriented. The County Clerk will be responsible for the administration of various tasks related to county government and elections. The candidate we are looking for should have relevant previous experience in a related field and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Administer county government duties, such as maintaining public records and issuing licenses and permits.
- Oversee and maintain accurate records of county budget and financial transactions.
- Manage the election process, including the registration of voters and the coordination of polling locations and voting machines.
- Serve as the clerk to the county governing board, including attending meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, and publishing legal notices.
- Provide administrative support to county officials and staff.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field
- Minimum of three years of previous experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- The candidate should be capable of effectively managing multiple tasks and priorities within a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to county government and elections
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
