Cosmetologist responsibilities

• Create customized beauty regimens for clients based on their skin and hair type.
• Manage and maintain inventory of products and equipment used in the salon.
• Ensure that cleanliness and sanitation standards are met in all areas of the salon, including equipment, workspace, tools, and towels.
• Develop and maintain a strong base of loyal clients through exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
• Schedule appointments for clients and maintain accurate records of services provided.
• Attend trainings and workshops to improve technical skills and stay up-to-date on new beauty products and techniques.
• Promote the salon's services by participating in marketing and promotional activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a cosmetologist with a portfolio of satisfied clients
• Must hold a valid cosmetology license from an accredited institution
• Strong knowledge of the latest beauty trends and techniques
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Outstanding time-management and organizational skills
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and use specialized equipment
• Knowledge of software applications for scheduling and record keeping is a plus
