Job brief
We are looking to hire an experienced Controller. In this position, you would be responsible for overseeing our financial officers (accountants, payroll and tax managers, etc.) and ensuring that all our finances are in order and the company is able to run smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the necessary budgets and forecast of income and expenditures.
- Accurately maintain the company’s general ledger.
- Draw up and present financial reports and analyses to our senior leadership.
- Create and enforce the needed policies and procedures regarding the budgeting and management of company funds and assets.
- Work with our accountants to ensure all financial records and statements are accurate and up to date.
- Stay up to date on all regulations affecting our company’s financials and ensure that we maintain compliance with them.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field is required, as well as past experience working as an accountant
- A strong knowledge of accounting and financial rules, regulations, and best practices, and successful history of maintaining accurate accounts
- Strong communication skills and a highly organized individual who works well under pressure
- Experience preparing federal taxes and other financial reports
- Confident with computers and financial reporting systems
- Able to manage accounts payable and receivable, as well as payroll accounts
