Job brief
We are seeking to hire a full-time Construction Manager who will be responsible for the overall success of the project, organizing activities through the design and implementation phases of the projects.
Responsibilities
- Taking part in client meetings, plan reviews, and resolving engineering and architectural conflict in detail.
- Preparing schedules for construction, setting project timelines, and completing monthly reports.
- Being accountable for all project activities, such as resource allocation, documenting, and budget allocation.
- Keeping track of costs to ensure quality is maintained under the budget.
- Staying on top of contractual issues.
- Maintaining good relationships with clients.
- Knowledge of the use and operating characteristics of a variety of light and heavy equipment used in construction and maintenance.
- Performing additional assignments as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or College diploma is an asset
- Five to seven years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working knowledge of North American standards and codes
- Demonstrated ability in construction procedures, and fully capable of leading a team with different skill sets towards a common goal
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of relevant regulations
- Self-motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision in the office and on-field assignments
- Ability to work in a team and display leadership and organizational capabilities
- Effectively communicate both verbal and written
