Construction Maintenance Worker job description

Job brief

We are looking for a highly skilled Construction Maintenance Worker to join our team! As a maintenance worker, you would be responsible for supporting our contractors by completing a variety of tasks with skill and accuracy. These jobs could include the use of a variety of equipment and manual labor.

Responsibilities

• Aid with the building of scaffolding needed to complete a job.
• Assist other contractors (plumbers, electricians, painters, etc.) with their projects.
• Oversee the clean-up of job sites.
• Transport needed materials to the job site.
• Safely utilize tools and machinery to complete tasks as needed.
• Place any warning signs, cones, and gates as required.
• Inspect equipment for safety.

Requirements

• Must have experience with a variety of construction tasks
• Must be a hard worker and willing to learn new tasks
• Must demonstrate the ability to take instructions from superiors
• Must show good judgment when using heavy equipment and tools
• Physically capable of lifting heavy loads and work in sometimes severe weather conditions
• Must be able to work well with other team members and communicate effectively with a variety of people
