Job brief
We are looking for an experienced Construction Expeditor to join our team. In this position, you will work to ensure the smooth completion of a variety of construction projects by organizing the ordering and delivery of needed construction materials.
Responsibilities
- Review construction plans and schedules to determine when supplies will be needed at the job site.
- Source quality supplies within the needed time frames while keeping the budget of the project in mind.
- Manage the delivery of supplies to the correct job site.
- Keep a close eye on inventory and ensure it is always fully stocked.
- Facilitate the transportation of construction supplies to the job site.
- Keep accurate records of all orders.
- Maintain professional relationships with quality vendors.
Requirements
- Experience as a Construction Expeditor or Manager is required
- Must be a highly organized individual
- Able to create efficient schedules and work efficiently with quick deadlines
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong team player
