Job brief
We are seeking an experienced, detail orientated, and analytical individual to join our growing team as a Computer Security Manager. The ideal candidate will be experienced in information and data security, adept with analyzing processes and improving them whilst having proven management skills and abilities. The main focus of the role will be to carry out measures to best maintain the company’s data and information security systems, whilst managing a team of computer security analysts.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze the companies’ computing needs, recommend upgrades, and maintenance for executive personnel to consider.
- Plan and oversee the installation, upgrades, and scheduled maintenance of computer hardware and software as required.
- Ensure the highest possible level of security for the organization’s network, electronic documents, and data.
- Review and consider the costs and benefits of all new related projects.
- Oversee and allocate funding on projects to relevant executives.
- Plan, delegate, and oversee the work of other IT professionals on the team, including Computer Systems Analysts, Software Developers, Information Security Analysts, and IT/Desktop Support Specialists.
- Negotiate and collaborate with vendors to attain the highest level of service for the organization’s technology considering both cost and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or above in Information Technology, Technical Engineering, or other related fields
- 2 years of experience within a network security position, including Network Administration, Network Engineering, or Data Security Analyst role
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to extract, review, and break down large amounts of data to identify patterns and trends
- Able to implement strategies and plans that align with the business’s corporate objectives and goals
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with directors, executives, and stakeholders alike
- Effective and concise decision-making abilities and an accountable and responsible approach to decisions made
- Excellent leadership skills, with a good knowledge of general HR procedures and people development
- Good delegation skills with the ability to identify people's strengths and use them to complete the project efficiently and effectively
- Ability to prioritize your own workload
- Able to work to deadlines and targets whilst performing well under pressure
