We are seeking a computational engineer with extensive experience to join our team.
In order to support research and development efforts in various domains, including engineering, physical science, and life sciences, the chosen candidate will be in charge of conceiving, developing, and putting computational models and simulations into practice.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain computational models and simulations that support research and development efforts in various fields.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including scientists, engineers, and software developers, to develop and optimize computational models and simulations.
- Develop and implement algorithms and mathematical models to solve complex problems.
- Design and conduct experiments to validate and refine computational models and simulations.
- Analyze large datasets and develop data-driven models and simulations.
- Develop and maintain software tools and libraries to support computational modeling and simulation.
- Document and present research findings and methodologies to internal and external stakeholders.
- Keep up with developments in computational modeling and simulation trends and technologies, and look for areas where innovation and advancement are possible.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in computational modeling and simulation
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C++
- Experience with computational fluid dynamics (CFD), finite element analysis (FEA), or other numerical analysis techniques
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of testing and version control best practices for software development
- Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) and parallel computing
- Being able to work in a dynamic workplace at a quick pace
