Job brief
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and professional Clinical assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assisting medical professionals in a clinical setting, be adept with medical equipment and its uses, and be highly organized. The focus of the role is to provide assistance to patients and healthcare professionals alike.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with existing appointments and check them in or give directions to the relevant room/suite they will be using.
- Ensure that patients' details are correct, including patient’s date of birth, allergy information, etc.
- Make updates to patients' information on their electronic and hard copy records.
- Gather all equipment needed for the patients' appointment, such as heart monitors, charts, etc., ready for the clinician or doctor to use.
- Ensure that all used equipment is sent for sterilization.
- Keep the clinic area you work in clean and tidy, and report any issues regarding cleanliness to the cleaning team.
- Work in line with infection control protocols.
- Monitor and note vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, etc.
- Update patients with wait times or further testing that needs to be completed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, biology, or related field
- Two years of hands on experience in clinical coordination or assisting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Highly organized and able to prioritize one's own workload
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
