Cleaner Job Brief

We are looking for a diligent and efficient cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience in cleaning and maintenance, strong attention to detail, and will be able to work independently and as part of a team. The primary role of the cleaner will be to ensure that the premises are kept clean and tidy at all times, in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Cleaner Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain designated areas, including offices, restrooms, and common areas.
• Dust and polish surfaces, including furniture and fixtures.
• Vacuum and mop floors, and dispose of trash and recyclables.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and toiletries.
• Report maintenance and repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines, including using protective equipment and handling hazardous substances safely.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness at all times.
• Perform ad hoc cleaning tasks as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a cleaner or in a similar role
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and address cleaning needs
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team, depending on the task
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Good communication skills, with the ability to report maintenance and repair needs to the appropriate personnel
• Physical stamina and strength, with the ability to lift and move heavy objects as required
• Understanding of health and safety regulations, including the proper use of protective equipment and handling of hazardous substances
• A commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness at all times
