Job brief
In this critical executive leadership role, the Chief Medical Officer serves as the core healthcare administrator leading the management and oversight of medical centers. Core responsibilities include managing clinical operations, liaising between the medical staff and administration, training and development, and safeguarding the safest, highest standard of care for patients. Other responsibilities include enforcing the facility's established policies and procedures, staying current on industry best practices, and changing health regulations to train and inform all medical staff.
Responsibilities
- Split your time equally between treating patients in a clinical setting and executing executive administrative responsibilities.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement regulations, procedures, and programs that benefit patients while supporting fiscal goals.
- Observe and improve clinical performance administratively and clinically.
- Enact a behavioral framework for healthcare providers at all clinical services locations.
- Establish benchmarks for KPIs (key performance indicators) and resulting outcomes.
- Oversee, train, and inspire all healthcare providers and support staff.
- Assume primary responsibility for clinical services.
Requirements
- Medical Degree with a valid medical license
- 10+ years of clinical experience
- 3+ years experience in a leadership role managing a team
- Clinical risk management experience
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
