We are seeking an adaptable, personable, and service-focused Chief Diversity Officer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the HR industry along with demonstrated experience in developing a diverse culture within an organization. The focus of the role is to help the business become adaptable to changing environments and to assist with the diversification of its business procedures and hiring values.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies and plans to ensure the company is diverse in its approach to hiring and business operations.
- Promote inclusive hiring processes within the business.
- Ensure the recruitment drives are inclusive, diverse, and fair, from start to finish of the process.
- Develop, test, and implement new hiring processes to ensure diversity and inclusivity are at the forefront of the company hiring efforts.
- Ensure that all employees have a comfortable, supportive, and inclusive place to work, learn and discuss important issues that affect them, regardless of their race, age, gender, sexuality, or disability.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders as well as current employees, directors, and executives to fully understand the business requirements and ensure inclusivity is brought in line with company requirements.
- Strive to create a dynamic and diverse workforce for the business.
- Ensure policies and procedures are In place to ensure that no one is under-valued or discriminated against for any reason.
- Attend tribunals, disciplinary’s and conduct investigations where accusations of inequality are present.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources Management or Social Science, or equivalent work experience and education
- Minimum of 5 years experience working in an HR compliance role or similar diversity position
- Strong understanding of employment law and employee rights in the state/city you are conducting the role in
- Experience with developing inclusion initiatives
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Proficient with Microsoft Office packages such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Good analytical abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to speak to and understand vast types of people from different backgrounds, cultures, and ethnicities
- Experienced with working under pressure to achieve deadlines
- Able to prioritize own workload and time efficiently
