Job brief

We are seeking to hire a Chief Data Officer to develop and govern the collection, management, and storage of data across the organization. In addition, the CDO will be responsible for exploring and obtaining insights from the data to drive business decisions and growth.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a data strategy to drive business decisions and growth.
• Organize the collection, management, storage protection, and quality of data.
• Ensure compliance with data regulations and apply when needed data privacy policies.
• Identify areas of improvement based on findings obtained through the study of data.
• Lead and manage large teams.
• Communicate with staff and stakeholders regarding the value of data collection.
• Good understanding of relevant technologies and tools.
• Create fundamental data standards.
• Maintain compliance with any rules, particularly privacy and data protection.
• Create a foundation for enterprise-wide governance of data.
• Identify and fill gaps in the data life-cycle procedures by documenting them.
• Allow stakeholders to see what data is available within the organization.
• Lay the groundwork for a digitally enabled company.
• Moderate enterprise data demand by bridging the gap between business and technology.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Information Technology or similar field
• 6 to 10 years experience in a senior data management role
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Experience managing large teams
• Analytical skills
• Project management experience
