Job brief
We are seeking a patient-focused, kind, and caring Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will have attained their CNA certification and have previous experience caring for patients under the supervision of skilled nurses. The focus of the role is to provide high-quality patient care with an excellent bedside manner and to support the overall healthcare operation in the nursing department.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients under the supervision of nurses, including feeding or tube feeding, administering medication orally, ensuring medicine is taken on time, bathing, clothing, and other general care for patients.
- Ensure that patients' vitals are monitored and report any sudden or concerning changes.
- Follow the instructions of the nursing team at all times.
- Assist with lifting, turning, or moving patients as required.
- Speak with patients and provide comfort and a listening ear when needed.
- Provide handover information to other nurses or CNAs at the point of shift change.
- Assist patients with going to the bathroom or obtaining things they want from their lockers or personal storage areas.
- Set up medical equipment when needed.
Requirements
- High school education or above
- Certified Nursing Assistant license
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and products
- Great team working skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Good relationship-building skills
- Kind, caring, and professional in nature
- Able to follow precise instructions
- A keen eye for detail
