Job Brief
We are seeking an experienced, effective, and motivated business operations manager to lead our growing team. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills with great business acumen, being commercially minded the ideal candidate will be adept with the effective management of people whilst understanding and achieving operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all systems are functional and operating at optimum capacity, ensure that they align with the quality standards set out by the department objectives.
- Analyze business procedures and effectively develop and implement changes to always ensure maximum efficiency.
- Review current department KPI’s and make necessary changes, establish achievable and productive KPIs within the production department and carry out quality assessments throughout the department on a regular basis.
- Oversee and monitor the daily running and operations of the department and address potential issues as and when they arrive to ensure there is maximum productivity with little downtime.
- Develop, build and implement processes in line with the business objectives and goals and ensure that team members are compliant in their work.
- Monitor and analyze financial data and information and develop solutions to effectively increase profitability.
- Coordinate with the HR department to ensure our hiring plans meet our business needs. Collaborate with the HR department to ensure the hiring process meets the business needs and the volume required to sustain the required workforce.
- Consider the needs of external and internal stakeholders and incorporate them into new strategic plans.
- Review and understand the needs of external stakeholders and ensure these are understood and incorporated into any new strategic plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or above in – business management, business operations, or related field
- Previous experience in a management role. Preferably operations management and at least 2 years
- Good knowledge of operational needs of a business and the day to day running of a production department
- Experienced with forecasting and predicting, as well as using forecasting models
- Adept with the use of project management software and a good knowledge of databases and their operations
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze financial data and effectively allocate budgets to meet the business demands
- Great communication skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders and team members alike
