Job brief
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Intelligence Consultant to assist our company with developing and implementing our business intelligence systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in the development and implementation of Business Intelligence systems and be adept with Tableau and Microsoft Power BI.
Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and documents BI systems along with testing their functionality.
- Provides analysis and evaluation of current data collecting and analytical systems.
- Develops and creates predictive models along with machine learning algorithms.
- Extracts and analyses big volumes of data to identify and discover patterns and trends.
- Identifies and understands business needs and converts them into technical specs.
- Identifies and understands current procedures and develops and establishes new procedures for data sharing with internal and external stakeholders and clients.
- Ensure the data extraction process is secure and methodical whilst ensuring the highest possible accuracy.
- Ensures data visualization techniques are used and adapted to present information in an understandable and interactive way.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related fields
- Experience within a data science role, or previous experience as a BI consultant, preferably a minimum of 2 years
- Familiarity with the industry in which we work is desirable
- Experience with data mining and scraping
- Excellent knowledge of Machine-learning and how the process works
- Good understanding and practical use of business intelligence tools, such as Tableau, Microsoft BI power, and other frameworks such as Hadoop and Samza
- Able to effectively record and report statistics, and data, with good presentation skills
- Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate findings and improvements needed to the infrastructure
- Good team working skills to enable effective analyzing of data in a quick time frame
