Brexit Project Manager job brief
We are seeking an experienced Brexit Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of our company's Brexit strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our organization complies with all relevant regulations and laws, while minimizing any potential disruption or negative impact of the UK's departure from the European Union.
Brexit Project Manager responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, milestones, and budgets, to ensure a smooth and seamless transition out of the EU for our company.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as finance, legal, and compliance teams, as well as external partners, to ensure that policies, procedures, and systems are aligned with post-Brexit requirements.
- Monitor and analyze the impact of Brexit on our business operations, and provide guidance and recommendations to senior management to minimize risk and capitalize on opportunities.
- Keep up-to-date on the latest political, economic, and regulatory developments regarding Brexit, and integrate this information into the company's overall Brexit strategy, as necessary.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders, including government officials, industry peers, and customers to ensure that the company's voice is heard and our interests are protected during Brexit-related negotiations.
- Report regularly on the progress of the Brexit project to senior-level management, identifying issues or challenges that arise and providing solutions to address these concerns.
Requirements
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) as a project manager overseeing complex projects and teams within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- In-depth knowledge of political, economic, and regulatory developments surrounding Brexit, including the implications for businesses operating in the UK and EU
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify potential issues, develop effective solutions, and implement plans to mitigate risks
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, with excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience in managing projects with significant operational and financial implications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, economics, law, or political science. A Master's degree is an added advantage
