Job brief
We are seeking a professional, personable, and detail-focused biologist to join our team. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a wealth of experience in sampling and investigating medical drugs for environmental protection. The role's key focus will be to develop public health campaigns to warn of the risks of potential new diseases and existing diseases.
Responsibilities
- Research medical drugs and their uses.
- Create strategies for environmental protection.
- Develop effective public health campaigns to raise awareness of new and emerging or existing diseases, viruses, and health complaints.
- Research how bacteria and viruses affect the human body.
- Assist with the testing and formulation of vaccines and new medicines.
- Study microbiology to see how they can cure human diseases and viruses.
- Work in line with infection control procedures.
- Keep the study or investigation area clean and contaminant free.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Biology
- Two years of practical training through an internship or externship in a medical-based facility
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a research role
- Physically capable of being on your feet for extended periods of time
- Excellent communication skills and relationship-building abilities
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Highly detail focused
- Able to develop effective and informative reports
- Good problem-solving skills
