Job brief
In this critical role, the Behavioral Technician will assist the Behavior Analyst in implementing and monitoring treatment plans that teach patients coping skills. Core responsibilities include assisting patients with day-to-day activities and recording their progress for analysis by a therapist or physician during regular checkups. Additional responsibilities include helping to implement treatment plans and working one-on-one with patients.
Responsibilities
- Offer direct care to patients in a one-on-one or group therapy setting to implement and apply skill acquisition and behavior reduction treatments.
- Maintaining strict confidentiality, observing, and recording data on patient behavior.
- Communicate, collaborate and assist with training patients, parents, and staff.
- Ensure a supportive and safe environment for patient families.
- Execute clinical assessments and other administrative duties.
- Stay current on industry best practices and continuous education.
Requirements
- Certificate, bachelor’s, or associate degree in behavioral health or related field
- Able to lift and carry patients and in good health and physically fit
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills
- Flexible with the ability to work outside of regular hours
- Computer fluency
