Job brief
We are seeking a friendly, outgoing, and professional Beauty Therapist to join our team! The ideal candidate will be experienced with various types of hair removal, skin therapy, and overall beauty industry services such as hairdressing and makeup. The focus of the role is to provide an outstanding beauty experience for clients visiting the salon by recommending and performing various procedures for them.
Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their desires and expectations for their chosen beauty treatment.
- Perform various treatments such as facials, skin therapy, skin needling, skin peels, etc.
- Advise clients on the best skincare routine and aftercare for procedures they have had.
- Make recommendations on other services that will improve the look of their skin.
- Research and conduct various methods and up-and-coming procedures to add to the salon's list of services.
- Answer all clients' questions, queries, and concerns in a professional manner.
- Book appointments for clients, including follow-up appointments.
- Ensure all clients receive proper aftercare advice to maximize the results of their treatment.
- Recommend accompanying treatments or procedures that will enhance their regime.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Vocational training and certification as a Beauty therapist, beautician, or similar
- Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar role
- Certification in laser hair removal would be an advantage
- Demonstrated ability to use various skin therapy tools such as lasers, micro-needling tools, etc
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with excellent communication abilities
- BARBICIDE qualification would be an advantage
- Strong knowledge of various skin therapies and hair removal techniques
- Good overall industry knowledge, including hair, makeup, skin therapy, hair removal, etc
