Job brief

We are seeking a friendly, outgoing, and knowledgeable Beauty Specialist to join our team! The ideal fit for the role will have a love for all things beauty, whether it’s skincare, makeup, or other beauty products. The role's key focus will be to attend to clients, advise them on the best products for their needs, skin type, and budget and provide in-depth knowledge of product features, benefits, and complete demonstrations.

Responsibilities

• Attend to clients in the salon and consult with them to ascertain their needs and expectations of beauty products.
• Ask questions to ascertain their budget, skin type, and any skin irritations or allergies they may have.
• Make recommendations about new or existing products, explaining their benefits, features, and benefits.
• Answer all questions customers may have regarding products and their ingredients and functions.
• Demonstrate products to clients, either on them or on your hand, to show the products and how it works.
• Assist clients with makeup choices, including shade matching, and understand their needs and apply solutions for a plethora of event types, such as weddings or photoshoots.
• Match their needs with the best products within their price point.
• Keep up to date with major skincare and makeup brands to understand their new products.
• Provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training in makeup, beauty, or skincare, or two years of hands-on working experience in a similar role supervised by a beauty specialist
• Exemplary customer service skills, with strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Friendly and confident in nature
• Demonstrated knowledge of skincare, makeup, and other beauty products
• Well-groomed appearance
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Strong knowledge of skincare and makeup application techniques
• Ability to stay up to date with the latest products and trends
