Job brief

We are seeking a friendly, outgoing, and professional Beautician to join our team! The ideal fit for the role will be experienced with various types of hair removal, skin therapy, and overall beauty industry services such as hairdressing and makeup. The key focus of the position is to provide an outstanding beauty experience for clients visiting the salon by recommending and performing various procedures for them.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to understand their desires and expectations for their chosen beauty treatment.
• Perform various treatments such as facials, skin therapy, hair removal such as waxing, epilation, IPL, etc.
• Advise clients on the best skincare routine and aftercare for procedures they have had.
• Make recommendations on other services that will improve the look of their skin.
• Research and conduct various methods and up-and-coming procedures to add to the salon's list of services.
• Answer all clients' questions, queries, and concerns in a professional manner.
• Book appointments for clients, including follow-up appointments.
• Ensure all clients receive proper aftercare advice to maximize the results of their treatment.
• Recommend accompanying treatments or procedures that will enhance their regime.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training and certification as a Beauty therapist, beautician, or similar
• Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar role
• Certification in laser hair removal would be an advantage
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with excellent communication abilities
• Able to see various body parts of various body types whilst completing hair removal
• BARBICIDE qualification would be an advantage
• Strong knowledge of various skin therapies and hair removal techniques
• Good overall industry knowledge, including hair, makeup, skin therapy, hair removal, etc
