Aviation Technician job description

Job brief

We are seeking a detail-focused, highly skilled Aviation Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will have broad experience within the aviation industry in providing support to maintenance engineers. The focus of the role will be to complete all tasks delegated by the maintenance team and engineers as directed.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop an effective and efficient maintenance schedule for aircraft and other machinery on site.
• Ensure servicing and scheduled maintenance are completed in line with agreed service levels.
• Carry out all necessary repair work on aircraft as required, including the framework, engines, and other components.
• Take and follow instructions from maintenance managers and senior engineers.
• Keep inventory of all in-stock parts and request orders for parts as required.
• Ensure that all equipment is repaired and maintained in line with FAA standards.
• View and understand complex mechanical drawings.
• Inspect and quality assess completed work.
• Ensure all relevant paperwork pertaining to maintenance and repairs is properly filled out.
• Upgrade and or install hardware and software upgrades to equipment as required.

Requirements

• Bachelors’ degree or above in Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering role with a focus on aviation equipment
• Ability to understand complex drawings and diagrams
• Thorough understanding of Aviation equipment, both working and mechanical
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Keen eye for detail
• Ability to carry out assigned tasks and actively work as part of a team
• Physical ability in lifting up to 25kg
• Excellent manual dexterity skills
• Working knowledge of parts, equipment, and more
