We are seeking a detail-orientated, professional, and dynamic Aviation Specialist to join our team! The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience within the aviation industry within a related role and have excellent communication and coordination abilities. The focus of the role will be to provide the Air Traffic Control team with strategic planning and staffing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with various departments to understand their needs and priorities and assist with them in any way possible.
- Assist the Air Traffic Control team with strategic solutions pertaining to the planning and coordination of staffing, research, and acquisition.
- Understand functional requirements of en-route systems such as data processing and data display to include flight data, surveillance data, and more.
- Establish requirements for various functions, including ICAO flight paths and the hand-offs of tech-radar equipment between various countries.
- Prepare documents, reports, and meeting minutes as required.
- Identify, and optimize system requirements as needed.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with SOP’s and FAA standards.
- Work as part of a broad team to achieve common goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Communications, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 2 years or more of comprehensive and demonstrated experience within the aviation industry in a similar role
- Demonstrated knowledge of FAA and ATC operation standards will be highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly skilled in computers and computer programs
- Excellent attention to detail with remarkable analytical skills
- Able to work as part of a broad team
- Confident in working under pressure to agreed deadlines and targets
- Good problem-solving abilities
- Ability to follow instructions as well as delegate instructions to others
