Job brief
We are seeking a professional, adaptable, and dedicated Aviation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and a great work ethic. The focus of the role will be to carry out essential repairs and maintenance to the aircraft as required.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with Captains and co-pilots to ascertain any issues that occurred during the flight or during pre-flight checks that need to be looked at by an engineer.
- Ensure that all problems and malfunctions are recorded and rectified, and make notes and logs of all work completed to each aircraft.
- Keep a maintenance schedule for each aircraft, including regular servicing.
- Carry out repairs and servicing of Aircraft in a timely manner.
- Order any required parts for repairs and servicing for each aircraft.
- deliver on deadlines and targets as required
- Be available to undertake emergency repairs.
- Complete relevant checks on completed maintenance work to ensure it has been completed to a high standard.
- Ensure proper paperwork and records are kept for each aircraft.
- Liaise with Captains and co-pilots to ascertain that problems have been resolved.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Aeronautical engineering or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering role, preferably within the aviation sector
- Demonstrated experience with aircraft would be highly beneficial
- Health and Safety Certification would be highly desirable
- Excellent math skills
- Keen eye for detail
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Great time keeping skills
- Able to prioritize own workload
- Confident working under pressure to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
