Airport Fueler job description

Job brief

We are seeking a detail-focused, dependable, and professional Airport Fueler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated background in refueling various types of machinery, including aircraft. The focus of the role is to safely refuel aircraft prior to taking off, following strict instructions and measurements on how much fuel each aircraft needs.

Responsibilities

• Work in line with airport standards to safely refuel aircraft as required.
• Work in conjunction with the ground team to ensure that tight timeframes are adhered to.
• Safely hook up and unhook the refueling hoses and equipment.
• Complete fuel transaction forms and ensures they are properly filed.
• Ensure quality control of the airport's refueling equipment.
• Calculate fuel and weight volumes precisely.
• Ensure that aircraft are filled with the right fuel types.
• Maneuver refueling vehicles into position to effectively and safely refuel the aircraft.
• Ensure safety rules and regulations are always followed.

Requirements

• A Certificate in Driving Operations is highly desirable
• A Certification in health and safety would be an advantage
• 2 years of experience in the driving/refueling industry
• Excellent math abilities
• Great problem-solving skills
• Excellent eye for detail
• Demonstrated experience in using machinery to refuel any type of vehicle/aircraft/machine
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Confident with filling in the paperwork and ensuring it is correctly filed
