Aircraft Safety Inspector job description

Job brief

We are seeking a detail-focused, service-orientated, and adaptable Aircraft Safety Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience in safety inspecting within the aviation industry, along with excellent communication and compliance skills. The focus of the role is to ensure the highest level of aircraft safety, including the aircraft, their parts, accessories, and any other machinery as required.

Responsibilities

• Certify and assess operators, mechanics, and any other personnel involved in the Aircraft safety process.
• Issue certification of personnel.
• Perform assessments of personnel’s ability to perform their roles.
• Ensure that all work and duties undertaken are in line with the FAA guidelines and fully compliant.
• Ensure the overall compliance of aircraft, including all parts.
• Be the first line of defense pertaining to accident and incident investigation.
• Inspect the repair facilities on site.
• Evaluate all mechanical equipment.
• Ensure and sign off aircraft with regard to the safety of flying.
• Promote aviation safety within the facility amongst all team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Aeronautical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field
• 2 years of experience in an inspection/compliance role within the aviation industry
• A keen eye for detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Health and Safety Certification would be an advantage
• Driver's License would be an advantage
• Confident delegator
• Excellent time keeping skills
• Highly organized
