We are seeking a driven, passionate, and eager-to-learn Accounts Intern to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate from a field of study related to accounting, such as finance, business, math, or other related fields, with a strong interest in a career in accounting. The focus of the role will be to provide support to all accounting team members, whilst shadowing and learning the basics of the accounting role. Someone who is not afraid to ask questions and enjoys hands-on learning would be a great candidate for us!

Responsibilities

  • Assist accountants, accounts administrators, and CFO with all administrative tasks as required.
  • Use the online calendar to reserve meeting rooms, and book and schedule relevant meetings.
  • Learn accounting software alongside other team members.
  • Understand the needs and requirements of the accounting department.
  • Assist with the collection of information to effectively run payroll.
  • Shadow and learn the payroll and benefits administration process.
  • Input data as required by the accounting team.
  • Work as part of a team to resolve issues as they arise.
  • Work alongside accounts analysis personnel to understand how to view, extract and understand data required for analysis.
  • Work towards attaining a recognized qualification in accounting for your country/city/state.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Finance, Business, Math, Accounting, or related field
  • Willingness to learn and work hands-on in an accounting role
  • Great team working skills
  • Demonstrated math skills
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organized
  • Confident in using and learning computer software
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • Eager to assist other team members
