We are seeking a detail-focused, leadership-driven, and personable Account Manager to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience in accounting, along with excellent analytical and leadership skills. The focus of the role is to oversee the accounting team, ensuring that the company accounts are kept in good order and compliant with all regulating bodies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with finance executives to ascertain the department's goals and objectives for the relevant quarter or year.
- Brief all account teams about upcoming projects, financial deadlines, and compliance-related tasks.
- Provide continuous training and development to all team members, including completing appraisals and regular performance reviews.
- Liaise with the HR department to facilitate new hires when required.
- Audit team members’ work for compliance verification.
- Review quarterly and annual accounts reports.
- Develop and write reports for senior management on the company's financial performance.
- Ensure that AR and AP are completed in a timely manner by the finance team.
- Work in line with industry best practices and regulating bodies to ensure complete compliance throughout the accounting department.
- Monitor, review, and book training and certification courses for all team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or above in Business, Math, Finance, IT or related field, or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience in an accounting role
- Excellent leadership skills
