Python Developers develop various types of applications and systems using a coding language called Python. They are computer science experts and can usually also program in other languages such as Laravel and PHP. Senior developers usually have at least five years of experience in the language they develop in. They are also responsible for mentoring and coaching junior team members.
When interviewing Python developers, you should be looking for candidates who exhibit knowledge of basic algorithms, are confident in at least one programming language, and exhibit signs of keeping up to date with industry trends and emerging tech. You should also look for candidates who show strong signs of solid leadership, with the ability to oversee projects and develop other team members.
Most Senior Python developers will be able to provide comprehensive answers and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of these subject matter questions. Look for answers using the star method, and identify where persons are using specific examples from their previous roles/experience to demonstrate their working knowledge.
