Case Managers are responsible for assisting clients in developing areas of need, and with treatment plans. A Case Manager’s duties include helping clients manage their healthcare and social service needs by assisting them in getting access to services. Clients may include the chronically ill, elderly, children, and people going through physical rehabilitation.

When assessing Case Managers, look for someone who has sound knowledge of legislation relevant to cases, demonstrated experience in a customer service environment, and is outcome-focused with the ability to manage competing demands. Candidates that do not have a background in health care and lack organizational skills should be avoided.
