Why does it matter? 

In-person interviews are required for many companies, and are normally regarded as the final stage of recruitment before a company decides to hire a candidate and send them an informal or formal job offer.

When to send?

Send this email as soon as your company has decided that the candidate is a favorable one for the position, after all previous assessments and interviews have taken place.

What to include?

Make sure to include the position they have applied for, the name and position of the person they will have an interview with, and a few different time and day options (make sure to consider their time zone).

Please keep in mind that this is a template. You may change it to suit your company's voice and tone.

Thank you for your interest in applying for the [POSITION] role. We enjoyed our initial phone conversation and would love the opportunity to meet with you in person. 

Are you available on [PREFERRED DATE AND TIME] to come to <insert location> for an in-person interview? During this time, we will have the opportunity to hear more about your relevant experience and background, and answer any further questions you may have. Our address is [YOUR LOCATION]. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time and ask for [INTERVIEWER’S NAME AND POSITION].

Please confirm by responding to this email if the proposed date/time works for you. If not, please provide alternative availability, and we will reschedule a date/time accordingly.
