Weapon-Free Workplace Policy Elements

1) Prohibited Weapons

The following weapons are strictly prohibited on company premises: firearms, knives, explosives, pepper spray, tasers, and any other dangerous weapons.

2) Exceptions

The only exceptions to this policy are authorized security personnel and law enforcement officers acting in their official capacity.

3) Consequences of Violation

Any individual found to be in violation of this policy will face disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Violations may also result in legal action.

4) Reporting

Employees are encouraged to report any concerns or suspicions regarding weapons in the workplace to a supervisor, HR, or security immediately.

5) Confidentiality

Reports of potential weapon violations will be kept confidential to the extent possible, while still conducting a thorough investigation.

6) Education & Training

All employees will receive training on this policy and be required to acknowledge receipt and understanding of the policy.

7) Signage

Signs stating that the premises are a weapon-free zone will be posted at all entrances and throughout the workplace.

All employees are expected to comply with this policy at all times. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination. By adhering to this policy, we can ensure a safe and secure work environment for everyone.
