Attendance Point System

Points Allocation

a. Employees will be allocated points based on their attendance record.

b. Points will be assigned as follows:

  • 1 point for each occurrence of tardiness (late arrival to work)
  • 1 point for each occurrence of unscheduled absence
  • 2 points for each occurrence of a no-call, no-show absence
  • Points will reset at the beginning of each calendar year

Point Limits

a. Employees will be subject to disciplinary action once they reach a certain point threshold.

b. Disciplinary actions may include verbal warnings, written warnings, suspension, and termination.

Reporting Absences

a. Employees are required to notify their direct supervisor or manager of any planned or unplanned absences.

b. In case of an unplanned absence, employees must notify their supervisor as soon as possible.

c. Failure to notify the supervisor of an absence may result in additional points being assigned.

Attendance Record

a. Supervisors will maintain accurate records of employee attendance, including points allocated and any disciplinary actions taken.

b. Employees will have access to their attendance records upon request.

Appeal Process

a. Employees have the right to appeal any points allocated to them.

b. Appeals must be submitted in writing to HR within 5 business days of the points being assigned.

c. HR will review the appeal and make a decision within 10 business days.

Compliance

All nonexempt employees are required to comply with this Attendance Point System for Nonexempt Employees Policy. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
