a. Is the dog a service animal required because of a disability?

b. What work or task has the dog been trained to perform?

  1. Control and Behavior: Service animals must be under the control of their handlers at all times. The service animal should be on a leash, harness, or tether unless it interferes with the tasks performed by the animal. Service animals should be well-behaved and not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others.
  2. Cleanliness: Handlers are responsible for cleaning up after their service animals. Waste disposal bags and designated disposal areas will be provided for this purpose. Service animals should be well-groomed and odor-free.
  3. Charges and Fees: We do not charge individuals with disabilities any additional fees or expenses for bringing their service animals with them. Service animals are not subject to pet-related policies such as pet fees or pet deposits.
  4. Exceptions: In rare circumstances where the presence of a service animal may fundamentally alter the nature of our services or facilities, alternative accommodations will be provided to ensure equal access for the individual with a disability.
  5. Grievance Procedure: Individuals who believe that they have been discriminated against in the use of a service animal may file a grievance in accordance with our organization's ADA grievance procedure.
  6. Training: Our employees will receive training on the ADA, service animal regulations, and how to interact with individuals with disabilities and their service animals in a respectful and inclusive manner.
  7. Enforcement: Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary action in accordance with our organization's policies and procedures.
