Job brief

We are looking for an experienced event planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of high-quality events that meet the expectations of our clients. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for creating memorable events.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute events from conception to completion, including budgeting, vendor management, and on-site coordination.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their event objectives, budget, and vision and provide expert guidance throughout the planning process.
• Negotiate with vendors, including caterers, venues, rental companies, and entertainment providers, to secure the best possible pricing for our clients.
• Design and coordinate event layouts, including seating arrangements, lighting, and decor, to ensure that each event is visually stunning and meets the client's expectations.
• Manage event registration and ticketing, including ticket sales, registration databases, and attendee communication.
• Oversee event logistics, including transportation, set-up, and tear-down, to ensure that events run smoothly from beginning to end.
• Provide exceptional customer service and promptly address any issues or concerns that arise during an event.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in event planning, preferably in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, marketing, or a related field
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients, vendors, and colleagues
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple events simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and event planning software
• Proven ability to manage budgets and negotiate with vendors to secure the best possible pricing
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as events require
